Class of 1985,
Director and Louise Ines Doyle ’34 Chief Curator, Smith College Museum of Art
While studying art history and American Studies at Smith College, Jessica developed a passionate interest in American material culture and the work of museums. This led her to the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture where she earned a Master’s degree. A post-graduate curatorial fellowship at Winterthur launched a career that has included curatorships at Old Sturbridge Village and the Portland Museum of Art, Maine. In 2005, she returned to her alma mater where she directs the Smith College Museum of Art, working to develop the collection and strengthen the museum’s support for the academic program of the college.
