Bobbye Tigerman

After graduating from Winterthur, Bobbye Tigerman was the Tiffany & Co. Foundation Curatorial Intern in the American Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Since then, she has served as Assistant Curator of Decorative Arts and Design at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, where she organized “From the Spoon to the City”: Objects by Architects from LACMA’s Collection. In 2011, she organized the first major study of California modern design with the groundbreaking exhibit, California Design, 1930–1965: “Living in a Modern Way.” Tigerman extended this study into her 2013 publication, “A Handbook of California Design, 1930-1965: Craftspeople, Designers, Manufacturers.” Tigerman has also been a contributor in definitive publications such as “Knoll Textiles, 1945-2010.”
